My Obssession With Trees
I’ve been painting a lot of trees lately. My favorite being the below which is being hung on my living room wall (also the first painting I’ve ever done).
I’ve been wondering a lot about my obssession with trees. And so, I decided to look up “tree” in the encyclopedia (which took me way back to the day when everyone had those huge book encyclopedias and no internet) to try to find out why. Here are some words and phrases that really stuck out to me and help explain my uncanny interest as of late:
Regularly renews its growth
self-supporting
natural construct
adaptive
conductive
anchor
immensely important
produce fruits, spices, beverages, flowers
elegant
constantly extending branches
build symbiotic associations
adapt in an integrated way
And I’m sure I will find many more through other sources. Somehow I’m able to express most any emotion through the complexity and flexibility of a tree. In my mind, a tree can be anything, become anything, overcome anything.
